Education
I have been working with children and youth for over 15 years. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors and received my Masters of Counselling from City University of Seattle, in Vancouver B.C. For my Masters Thesis I researched the triggers, impacts and treatments of social anxiety in children and young people.
Experience
My experience and passion is working with children, teens and adults suffering from issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, low self-esteem, relationship issues, grief and loss, sexual/physical/emotional abuse, school pressure and friendship dynamics, and family relationships and issues such as divorce/step-families/sibling issues.
I work closely with children, youth and their families to support young people in achieving their mental health and well-being goals.
I have experience working with diverse populations including LBGTQ2S youth and indigenous youth, as well those from diverse cultural communities.
